NOTICE OF PRIVATE SALE
PENNCREST SCHOOL DISTRICT
In accordance with the provisions of the Public School Code of 1949, as amended, 24 P.S. §7-707, notice is hereby given of a hearing on a proposed private sale by the PENNCREST School District of the real estate and building situated in the Borough of Woodcock, County of Crawford, and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, identified by Crawford County Tax Index No. 6801-051.
The property is the same premises conveyed by the PENNCREST School District to the Borough of Woodcock by deed dated May 11, 1978 and recorded July 6, 1978 in the Office of the Recorder of Deeds of Crawford County in Deed Book 516, Page 997, which deed included a clause by which the property would revert to the PENNCREST School District in the event that the described premises be no longer used for municipal purposes, and for which the Borough of Woodcock ceded its interest to the PENNCREST School District on December 17, 2019. The property is more fully described in a legal description as follows:
All that certain piece or parcel of land lying and being situate in the Borough of Woodcock, Crawford County, Pennsylvania, bounded and described as follows, to-wit: On the North, two hundred (200) feet, more or less, by land now or formerly of Luella M. Thornton; on the West, one hundred fifty (150) feet, more or less, by land now or formerly of Ronald J. Cummings, et ux; on the South, two hundred (200) feet, more or less, by Center Street; and on the West, one hundred fifty (150) feet, more or less, by East Street; having erected thereon a two-story frame building known as the Academy, and being the same property identified by Crawford County Property Index No. 6801-051.
The hearing will be held at the Crawford County Court House, Meadville, PA on August 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. local time in Court Room 2. The proposed purchaser is Kent Coburn. The proposed sale price is $14,000.00, with the financing contingency having been satisfied.
